We talked about a really sad week in sales a couple of weeks ago. Looks like all of May was crap for the music industry.

Not even Eminem’s Relapse, with 819,000 sold so far, was enough to save music sales for the month.

Sales were down 17.8 percent from May 2008, and 36.7 percent from May 2007.

So far this year, only two albums have sold more than a million copies – Taylor Swift’s Fearless and the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack.
